Combat swimmers, such as Navy SEALs or Special Forces, typically complete their parachute training through specialized military programs. They undergo rigorous training that includes classroom instruction, physical conditioning, and practical exercises. They learn how to properly don and use a parachute, as well as how to safely exit an aircraft and land in various conditions. This training is essential for combat swimmers who may need to perform airborne operations in their missions. **

Parachute fabric is a lightweight, strong, and durable material typically made from nylon or polyester. It is designed to be used in the construction of parachutes due to its ability to withstand high levels of stress and pressure. Parachute fabric is also commonly used in outdoor gear such as tents, backpacks, and hammocks due to its water-resistant and breathable properties. **

A parachute works by creating drag or air resistance as it opens up and catches the air. When a person jumps out of an airplane, the parachute is deployed, causing it to slow down the descent by creating drag. The air fills the parachute canopy, creating a large surface area that slows down the fall and allows the person to land safely on the ground. The parachute continues to slow down the descent until the person lands gently on the ground. **

The parachute may not open due to a malfunction in the parachute system, such as a tangled or twisted parachute lines, a faulty deployment mechanism, or a damaged parachute canopy. It could also be due to improper packing or deployment by the skydiver. In some cases, adverse weather conditions or high winds may prevent the parachute from fully deploying and functioning properly. **

Yes, in most cases, modern parachutes are designed to open automatically. When a skydiver reaches a certain altitude, a device called an Automatic Activation Device (AAD) will automatically deploy the parachute if the skydiver has not done so manually. This is a safety feature to ensure that the parachute opens in case the skydiver is unable to do so themselves. However, it's important for skydivers to receive proper training on how to manually deploy the parachute in case of emergency. **

Yes, there have been accidents in the Bundeswehr during parachute training. One notable incident occurred in 2014 when a soldier was seriously injured during a parachute jump exercise. The soldier's parachute failed to open properly, leading to the accident. The Bundeswehr takes safety during training exercises very seriously and conducts thorough investigations into any accidents to prevent future incidents. **

The cost of parachute equipment can vary depending on the type and quality of the gear. On average, a complete set of parachute equipment including a parachute, harness, container, and other necessary accessories can range from $2,000 to $4,000 for a new set. However, there are also options to purchase used equipment or rent gear which can be more cost-effective for beginners or occasional jumpers. It is important to invest in high-quality equipment to ensure safety while skydiving. **

A parachute slows down because of air resistance. When a parachute is deployed, it creates a large surface area that catches the air as it falls. This creates drag, which counteracts the force of gravity pulling the person or object down. As a result, the parachute slows down the descent, allowing for a safer and controlled landing. **
